Watching this DVD last night for about the 20th time with my family, I realized that I had never taken the time to write a proper review, so here it goes.  Cars continues the rich Pixar tradition of quality family-oriented films that appeal to both adults and children with terrific voice talent and brilliant animation.  In it, Owen Wilson voices Lightning McQueen, a rookie racecar so egotistical that he believes that he doesn’t need a team to win races.  Through an accidental detour he lands in Radiator Springs, a forgotten town bypassed by the interstate, and learns some valuable life lessons from Doc (Paul Newman), Mater (Larry the Cable Guy), and others (including George Carlin).  Sounds kind of schmaltzy, I know, but the movie is much cooler than that.  Full of laughs, action, and great music, Cars is one of the rare breed of movies can be enjoyed multiple times.  While I liked Pixar’s Ratatouille and Wall-E, I’d have to rate Cars a notch above in the rarefied air of Toy Story and Finding Nemo.  If you haven’t seen it, rent it.  If you have, watch it again.
